Hey it's me again.
Today was the first sunny day since more then a week. Unfortunately we had school in the afternoon and we had not that much time to enjoy the good weather.
We went to sunset beach from where you have a very pretty view over the sea with the mountains in the background.
We had a nice time and then went back home for dinner.

week 2
Hello Switzerland!
How is it going at home?
I'm fine over here! I've met so many friendly and cool people till now. It's just great!
But the weather is extremely bad since the last few days. It's raining the whole day long and a stiff breeze is blowing. Never mind I'm trying to do the best out of it!
Saturdaynight
Yesterday evening I went with some of my buddy to see the hockey game Vancouver Canucks vs. Anaheim Ducks. Unluckily but expected the Canucks lost the game with 1:5...
In the beginning of the match it was very exciting but after the first third the players have given themselves up and the game lost rapidly on quality and excitement.
But no matter, it was a great experiance to see a hockey match in such a huge Arena like the Rogers-Arena and we had much of fun together.
Sunday
To day i did nearly nothing except of some homework for school and skyping with my family and my love. So not a very special Sunday; But from time to time you need a little relaxing day =)

lazy sunday
After I had slept off this morning I skyped with home. It was so nice to hear how they're doing at home and to see my love =)
Then I spent nearly the whole afternoon at home to learn and to do the homework. I thought this would never end... =) But finally I had done everything I had to do and I went out to visit the queen elizabeth park (the park next to my homestay).
I heard that this park should be beautiful and it really is! Actually it's not just a park it is a leisure facility. There are several tennis courts, bowling alleys, a small golf course, a disc golf course, a flower conservatory and nice little green areas. And the view over vancouver city is just breathtaking.

downtown and stanley park
Hello switzerland!
Simon is writing again! I'm doing fine over here and everything is great. I've got a lovely host family and school isn't as boring as I thought first. Our teacher, a elderly lady, is verry funny and we have much to laugh.
At Thurseday there was a big student party (like every Thurseday) in a pub in downtown. I met there several people from all over the world. It was just awsome! Everybody was so friendly and open-minded.
After we had finished school on Friday morning, we went to check out the stanley park.
This place is verry nice! It's just a huge green place in the middle of the city. You have a great view over the skyline of vancouver and north vancouver.

Day 1 in school
Hey everybody!
It's time for my second post now!
Day 1
Unfortunately yesterday the language school has started and I had to get up much to early (6.50 a.m :0). I felt jetlagged and I just wanted to go back to bed and sleep the whole day. After we arrived at school we had a little information how everything is going to work in this three months of school and subsequently we had to take the placement test. After the test we had a little guided citywalk through downtown.
In the afternoon we had no class so we just walked through downtown without any plan and tried to figure out where the nice places are.
After three hours of walk our legs started to hurt and we entered the first pub we came across.
Day 2
Today the "normal" school lessons started. I made it into the CAE class so my placement test couldn't be this bad. We had school from 9.00 a.m till 3.45 p.m of course with some breaks.
After school we went to a pub called Malone's Pub and had some pepsi ;)
It had a lot of fun together.
PS: Sorry I have no pictures till now. But they will follow in a few days!

The adventure has started
After months of hard preparation and many hours of malais, my trip to Canada finally started today!
The flight was harder then I thought and I'm quite tired now. But no worries I'm doing fine over here!
My homestay family is verry nice and cordially. Pam (my homestay mom) showed me allready the way to school and I've got a canadian cell phone number now. I'll share the number with you, as soon as I know how you can reach me on it.
The children are quite funny and they want to help me with everything.
